Why we aggregate rather than sell per pit
Point-sample assays across the Kitui prospect vary widely — from 16.67% to 59.2% Cu depending on pit and method. Selling each pit’s output separately would mean wildly inconsistent parcels and an unworkable trading relationship. Instead, INFO MEMA aggregates ore into commercial-grade parcels priced on a blended basis of 16.67% Cu — the AAS-corrected figure from the government Mineral Certification Laboratory (Lab No. 3485) — a deliberate blending decision, not a claim that every parcel assays identically.

- Grade basis: blended 16.67% Cu, oxide/carbonate copper mineralisation (malachite/azurite-type), sulfur negligible — favouring a leach route over flotation or smelting.
- Moisture: target 9%, contracted cap 9.1% — priced on a dry metric tonne (DMT) basis.
- Packaging: 1 MT FIBC (jumbo) bags with liner.
- Delivery terms: FOB, subject to the applicable Mineral Export Permit for the consignment.
Pricing methodology
INFO MEMA quotes as a formula, not a flat number, settled against an independent umpire assay at discharge — standard practice across the ore and concentrate trade:
Price references an agreed quotational period (such as the average LME cash price for the month of arrival) rather than a single day’s price, and is net of applicable government royalties and permit costs. This moves with the market and reconciles against each parcel’s actual assayed grade, rather than going stale the way a flat $/tonne quote does.
